What should I wear?

We'd love for you to get dressed up with us in formal/cocktail attire! One thing to keep in mind is that Belgium can get HOT in July.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside before we move inside for the dinner and afterparty.

What if I have dietary restrictions or food allergies?

You will be able to indicate this on your RSVP but please also reach out to one of us directly and we'll make sure you are well fed and taken care of!

Where to stay?

Our venue is in a small town 40-minutes south-west of Brussels, Belgium, which gives you a couple of options for your stay! Locally, we recommend the following hotels:- La Maison d’Hôtes- Le Vieux Cadre You can also stay in the heart of Brussels, where you have a bunch of options such as:- The Hotel Brussels- Warwick Brussels- Anywhere in the centre of Brussels Don't forget to look at AirBnb for cozy local options as well. In Brussels, some of our favourite neighbourhoods that we would recommend staying in are: Sablon, Châtelain, the Place Brugmann area of Ixelles/Uccle, Place Jourdan, and Place Flagey.

We're travelling from afar, where can we fly into? 

There are two main airports in Belgium:- Brussels International Airport (BRU): located 12km from Brussels City Centre or 61km from our venue- Brussels Charleroi: located 55km south of Brussels or 50km from our venue. Brussels Charleroi is an option if you are flying from another European destination. You can also fly into London, Paris, or Amsterdam and book a high-speed Eurostar train to Brussels!

Travel

Bruges, Belgium

You can get from Brussels to Bruges via train (1hr) or car (1hr15min). It's the cutest town that has so much to offer when walking around to explore. Don't underestimate doing a walking tour or a boat tour! Personal favourites in Bruges are the <a href="https://www.visitbruges.be/en/things-to-do/culture-and-heritage/bonifaciusbrug-boniface-bridge" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Boniface Bridge</a>, <a href="https://thehouseofwaffles.com/brugge/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">House of Waffles</a>, or doing a guided tour of <a href="https://www.halvemaan.be/en/visit/brewery" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">De Halve Maan</a> brewery.

When in Brussels...

Do as the Bruxellians do! Brussels has some GREAT restaurants, like...<a href="https://auvieuxsaintmartin.be/en/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Au Vieux Saint Martin</a>: Located in one of our favourite areas of Brussels. Bastian recommends their famous Filet Américain. Krista loves the Niçoise Salad.<a href="https://tatar-restaurant.be/en/home-en/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Tatar</a>: located in our other favourite neighbourhood with an amazing rotating menu. (Bonus points: Bastian's younger brother owns it!)<a href="https://yamayu.be" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Yamayu Santatsu</a>: if you like Japanese food you NEED to go here.<a href="https://www.batchbrussels.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Batch</a>: great for brunch, great for dinner, great for vibes.
